Groundwater (Subproject A)

DVGW-Technologiezentrum Wasser Karlsruhe:
Contaminant Masses (Subproject B)

Universität Karlsruhe (TH):
Contaminant Flows (Subproject C)

RWTH Aachen:
Ecotoxicology (Subproject D)

Objectives

  • balancing of contaminant transport and ransformations along the transport path: river (flood wave) – retention basin – soil – groundwater

  • risk assessment of contaminant flow from retention areas to the groundwater

  • development of a guideline document for planning und operation of retention basins in the vicinity of groundwater abstraction facilities
